Axel Gossiaux
Axel Mudahemuka Gossiaux is a doctoral fellow in "Human Sciences" at the Centre for Ethnic and Migration Studies (CEDEM) of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Liège (ULiège). He holds a master's degree in Political Science general orientation, with a specialization in International Relations at the ULiège. His thesis supervised by Marco Martiniello focuses on the analysis of “the political dimension of hip-hop culture” in French-speaking Belgium through institutionalization, commodification and everyday multiculturalism processes. His research areas also include postcolonial and decolonial studies. Belgian regional referent for The European HipHop Studies Network, Axel is also a musician and member of several music groups and cultural events collectives and associations in Liège and Brussels.
